Young Writer's Program
Help your child go from“I don’t know what to write” to“I wrote a book.”
Four printable PDF workbooks to help your child plan, write, and polish a story of their own—with a clear sequence for you to guide them through.
A child who knows where to start, and what comes next.
Most children aren't stuck because they can't write. They haven't been shown how a story is built. These workbooks show them, one page at a time.

Pages from the printable workbooks, shown as they appear in the files.

Creative writing and grammar, working together.
Children learn best when skills have a purpose. Here, every lesson points toward one project: your child's own story.
A clear path
Each part builds on the last, so you always know what comes next.
Skills in context
Grammar is practised with story examples, so children see why a strong verb matters.
Room to draw and dream
Children sketch the hero and the setting, and design the cover.
It started with my own boys.
Whenever we sat down to write, my boys would ask, "What should I write?" or "What happens next?"
I wanted to help without giving them all the words. So I built a step-by-step program that gives children the structure and the tools, and leaves the story itself to them.
I created it to help families like ours make writing feel more approachable, so every child ends up with something they can proudly call their own.

What starting writing skills does my child need?
The workbooks are designed for children ages 7 to 9+. They begin with planning a story, so your child doesn't need to arrive with a story already in mind. If you are unsure whether your child is ready, email us at help@mymegabundles.com and we'll gladly help.
How much parent involvement is required?
The program comes with a clear sequence for you to guide your child through, so you choose when to start each part and which pages to work on together.
What should we print and do first?
Start with Part 1, Story Foundation. Print the pages you need for the next few sessions and begin with the character planner.
Do we need to follow the workbooks in order?
We recommend the order, because each part builds on the one before it. You know your child best, so you are welcome to dip into any part, such as Writer's Toolbox for grammar practice.
What does a typical session involve?
Choose a page from the part you're working in, read the short lesson together, and have your child complete the worksheet. Work at your child's pace.
What kind of finished project are we working toward?
A story of your child's own, planned, drafted and revised across the program, and finished with a cover, blurb, about-the-author page and a Young Author certificate.
What supplies are needed?
A way to print the PDF pages (at home or at a local print shop), paper, and pencils. Colored pencils or crayons are handy for the drawing pages.
Can siblings use the files?
Yes. Once you download, the files are yours. Print as many copies as you need for your own family, whether that's one child or several.
Can I get an invoice for my ESA?
Yes. We'll send ESA (Education Savings Account) families an invoice they can submit for reimbursement. Email us at help@mymegabundles.com if you need it.
What is your refund policy?
Because these are instant digital downloads, we're unable to offer refunds. If you have any trouble with your files, email help@mymegabundles.com and we'll gladly help.
